Dr. Elisabetta Tedeschi is Professor within offshore grid at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
She received the M.Sc. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2005 and 2009, respectively.
From 2009 to 2011, she was a Postdoc at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway, and a Visiting Researcher at the University of the Basque Country, Spain, between 2010 and 2011.
Having received a Marie Curie Fellowship, from 2011 to 2013 she was an Experienced Researcher at Tecnalia Research and Innovation in Spain. Subsequently she had a part time position as Research Scientist at Sintef Energy Research, in Norway, between 2013 and 2014, when she joined the Department of Electric Power Engineering of NTNU as a Faculty.
In 2015, she was granted funding under the “Young Research Talent” scheme of the Research Council of Norway for an international project on Integrated Design and Control of Offshore HVDC networks.
Overall, she has led and/or contributed to more than 15 national and international scientific projects and she is currently supervising 3 PhD and 2 Post-Doc researchers.
Her research interests include design and control of energy conversion systems, offshore generation, transmission and distribution and power quality issues, and she is the author or co-author of 1 book chapter and more than 20 journals and 50 conference papers, mostly in those fields.
She was program chair of the 17th IEEE Workshop on Control and Modeling for Power Electronics, (COMPEL) 2016, Member of the Technical Programme Committee of the IEEE Smart 2015 Conference and member of the Program Committee of the IEEE EVER-Monaco Conferences since 2012.
